A cool idea popped into my head for this year’s skeet skeet tournament. This year I would like to create a neck-worn medal using clay pigeons. Colored gold, silver, bronze and epoxyed over for strength.
First paint all of them primer black:
Next up, I painted them in pairs of different colors – 1st, 2nd, 3rd for both the adult and kid league. Followed by a coating of tabletop crystal clear epoxy from Total Boat (not sponsored):
After that the bottom sides were coated in epoxy too and more flair was added for the different places (no picture of that step though). The lanyards were cut and epoxied to the bottom sides leaving these as the final results – pretty happy with the outcome:
